Have you ever heard of delicous.com? If not you might be missing out. Delicious.com is a very simple social networking site you can use with your students. The basic premise of Delicious is bookmarking, much like you do with your computer in Firefox or Internet Explorer. However, what is different with Delicious is that the bookmarks are available for other people to see, that is if you want to share them!
How it works is you sign up for a free account at http://www.delicous.com. Then you find a bunch of bookmarks you want to give to your students. The bookmarks don’t need to be associated with a certain project or chapter. They can be just good sites they can go to for reliable information (helps them develop information literacy). Once you have your list of Web sites you want to share with your students, add them to your delicious account. Then give your students your delicious URL. You can access mine at www.delicious.com/dmourlam.
