2011 in review

Well, another year has gone by, and as I try to stay awake to bring in 2012, I thought I’d share a year in review for Technology Tips.  Interesting enough, WordPress.com emailed me a nice infographic detailing nearly everything I had planned blogging about.  But what’s missing is the road ahead.  While I’ve talked about a lot of different technologies and instructional design possibilities over the last year: from Facebook, to Interactive Whiteboards, to 1:1 computing in education, there is so much more ahead.  My focus for the year ahead will not necessarily be narrowed within instructional technology to any certain topic, but rather to expand more on how all of the different technologies and tools can work together in various learning environments.  I see this as the future of education and effective teaching in the future.

With that, I look forward to the next year, both professionally at UNI, personally with my family, and individually here on my blog.  Enjoy the infographic, because really, who doesn’t love a good infographic!

Happy New Year!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,700 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 45 trips to carry that many people.
